What is The Music Man
The Music Man started as a semi-regular segment on SQPN’s “Daily Breakfast” podcast. Fr. Roderick Vonhogen, the show’s host, would regularly play podsafe music on The Daily Breakfast. The work of researching the music became too much for Fr. Roderick, and in the middle of 2007 he called for volunteers to assist. I sent in an mp3 “demo tape” of what I thought a Music Man segment would sound like, and was surprised to hear my submission played in its entirety on an episode of the Daily Breakfast. The Music Man was born and I’ve been contributing to The Daily Breakfast ever since.
The Music Man website is my attempt to broaden my showcasing of podsafe music by creating my own podcasts featuring full length versions of the songs I feature, more in-depth information about the musicians, and purchase and touring information to make it easier to support the people trying to make a living outside the confines of the music industry.
